It's Christmas Eve, and without any money left to spend on her last-minute gift shopping, 21-year-old Holly has been forced to take a job as "Santa's elf" at the local shopping mall.

Honestly she finds the prospect to be rather belittling ... which is about to become quite literal when this Santa turns out to be the real deal and decides to shrink her down to elf size in order to fit her pint-sized costume!

One thing's for sure - Holly's Christmas has just gotten a lot more interesting. And little does she realize that the next two Christmases will be equally magical.

Santa's Little Helper (Issues #1-5)

After being shrunk down to less than four-feet tall by Herr Klaus himself, and enduring a rather embarrassing shift at the mall, Holly Caine now faces the prospect of spending the rest of the holidays at her reduced stature.

When she returns home, she finds that each of her family members has a different reaction to her predicament. Mrs. Caine seems to be totally in denial, while Mr. Caine is rather more openly concerned about the situation. Holly's younger brother, on the other hand, has the amusing idea to take his "big" sister out for a stroll ...

Christmas morning arrives and the family attempts to maintain some semblance of normalcy on this festive holiday, with little success. A visit from her best friend Alice and an invitation to a Christmas party where she can meet up with her long-time crush temporarily lift Holly's spirits, but her romantic dreams are soon cut down to size by her rival Ivy.

Fear not, though - perhaps there will yet be a little more Christmas magic to set all things right ...

Revisited (Issues #1-3)

It's been a year since Holly's brief stint as Santa's Little Helper, and she's falling back into her old Scrooge-like habits.

She and Alice are still dating, but an unnecessary argument on Christmas Eve could spell trouble for their relationship. And when Holly returns home that evening, she finds that her brother Devin and his friend Scotty are having a noisy band practice so she rudely tells them to stop their racket. It's beginning to seem like she might be due another visit from Santa or one of his elves ...

Soon enough, Holly does indeed discover an elf in the house who's been sent to check up on her. She handles this situation as well as you'd expect, which results in her being shrunk to about twelve inches tall - much smaller than on the previous occasion!

After discovering the now-doll-sized woman, Devin and Scotty decide to resume their band practice free from her interference - and with their new little mascot in tow. It definitely makes for a more interesting rehearsal.

Later that night, Ivy arrives at their front door and Holly is shocked by the revelation that she and Devin have been secretly dating since the events of the previous year.  Needless to say, Ivy is pleased as punch to find that her old rival has been reduced to doll size, and it isn't long before their relationship runs its usual course with Ivy delivering her own special brand of Christmas gift!

Elf Help (Issues #1-3)

It's two days before Christmas and Devin Caine still hasn't bought a present for his girlfriend Ivy. He's also totally broke, so he takes what he believes to be a perfectly normal job at a warehouse. When he arrives, however, he finds the place to be staffed entirely by Santa's elves - and his new boss thinks he needs to be shrunk down to size in order to fit in with his new co-workers.

It look like it's Devin's turn to learn the true meaning of humility this year ...

After being scaled down to elf size, Devin manages to escape the warehouse but finds little sympathy from the women he encounters - not even Ivy, Holly or Alice who all seem rather delighted by his predicament. Humiliation, nightmares and embarrassing makeovers follow as Devin begins to understand what Holly has been through during the previous two Christmases.

With a little help from the elves, though, Devin finally manages to redress the balance and make himself the biggest of bunch. Now it's time to settle the score! Sometimes Christmas wishes really do come true.
