Tessa's roommate Owen has always been something of an enigma. Perhaps the sudden appearance of his mother Sylvia into their lives will answer a few lingering questions about him and his past.

On the other hand, his mother herself also seems to be rather enigmatic presence ...

A Little Culture

Shortly after her arrival in the city, Sylvia invites both Owen and Tessa out for a "day of culture" which includes both a trip to the museum and a night at the opera. A reasonably good time is had by all, despite the fact that every experience is a little peculiar for Tessa at her current size.

However, Tessa's subconscious mind seems to sense that something is wrong, since her nightmares are still becoming more frequent and more intense. And to make matters worse, one of the frightening figures in them now bears a striking resemblance to Sylvia.

By the end of this issue, Tessa has shrunk to a mere 1'10" (56cm).
